When should I change my Water Filter?

A couple times a month, I get emails or calls about when to change the water filter?

Change the filter when you start to feel a reduction in flow. If you are recharging every two weeks, I’d say every second time you recharge, or about once a month. That will vary according to how your water is, but that would be about 1000-1500 gallons between changes.

If the filter cartridge looks overly grungy or starts to get green (algae related), clean out the housing, and rinse with about a tbsp of Clorox to a gallon of water, followed up by a fresh water rinse.

Be careful not to lose the o-ring between the clear housing and the cap it screws onto.
